 Had to add to this blog because grandchildren can be so freaking cute. Looking through pictures of us, which most are vacation pictures, and Alexa is with me this time. And I tell her that me and Jr are going on a trip for our anniversary. She says "where did you go in this picture?". I say "to Cherokee, but it was a girl trip, so Papa won't be in those." After pausing and thinking for a moment she says, "why don't you take us with you when you go on other trips?" (this comes from the fact that we take them every two years to the beach) I say "because Nanny and Papa have to take trips by theirself sometimes." She replies, "You should take us all the time!" And she was very serious, lol. Vacationing rule number one from silly grandchild number one that puts green slime in her hair. :)  So apparently after our kids were born and started in school activities Jr and I started taking photos of the kids and took very few of ourselves as a couple. Not to mention photos were not digital in the earlier years, so the photo hunt from years past is a little more limited. But I have found some good ones. Now trying to remember what year they were from is the next challenge. Can't wait to get to the ones from 25 years ago. We were so young, look like babies raising babies. Looking through these photos, I can see how much our son, Johnathon, favors his father.
 Ten years ago we didn't have any grandchildren. All of our children were still in school. Jr still had brown hair and who knows what color mine was, lol. That all seems like yesterday. Time goes by so fast and when you look back it doesn't seem that long ago. How do you slow down that time? Our Anniversary is March 26th. Hopefully time will slow down long enough for us to indulge in all this resort has to offer so we can pamper one another on this special weekend. Looking forward to a couples massage, a long spa soak bath, and lots of anniversary drinks. :)
Helen and Shane, We got your gift card. Thank you for the Ocean Soak gift. We will indulge and enjoy!  When I was made aware that this was a free service through the resort we booked, at first my thoughts were "that would be cheesy for an anniversary". But the more I thought about it the more it seemed like a fun thing to do. Posting pictures of our past 25 years and letting everyone join in on our celebration. We don't know many couples that have made it to year 25, so to us this is something worth celebrating, and this is a way to do it without having to do the typical Anniverary Party thing.
